Blender basics for Studio Users
A friend here on dA is considering trying to move from DAZ Studio to Blender, and I told her I would share some very basic discoveries I made in my brief experimentation with it over the last month and a half. Now I don't pretend to know a whole lot about Blender, and if any of the things I mention here are incorrect, please let me know and I will change them. I just thought it might be helpful for Studio users to know what they might be in for if they also decide to move up to Blender. Basics ---------- - You've got to watch or read tutorials on the interface right away. It's not a very confusing interface, but there's a lot of stuff hidden away behind little buttons and shortcut keys, and you'll want to shut your computer off and go cry in the corner if you start dragging out new windows everywhere without knowing how to get rid of them. - Blender relies on a CRAPLOAD of shortcut keys.
